As far as I know, we're going for the campsite option, but I dont think either location would appreciate us all dressing up in uniform for drinkies :)

Course you can. Our grandfathers fought for our right to dress up as the enemy

Y'all showing yer age there nipper, my Dad fought for my right to dress as a German. I think my Grandad would have been of first war era!
My Dad was Navy and spent a lot of his time on board HMS Tuscan. Apparently they had a crazy Captain who always wore a straw boater hat, and his favorite trick was to sail silently into Axis occupied areas, play colnol bogey over the ships tannoy and get out before the enemy could bring guns to bear! Old Matlow's story? who cares I loved it :)

It's going to be weird seeing you as a player instead of an organiser Josh

Glad we're on the same team this time.

Like that's going to stop us slotting him early doors ?

So which camp site ? I'm in. If JB can get a pass out for 2 nights not one that is.

Well, I'll be staying at home on the Friday night as I will only be a 20 min drive from Shrewsbury.

"Will you stop talking about the war!!"
"What, you started it!"
"We did NOT start it!"
"Yes you did, you invaded Poland..."

Hi guys, I am travelling from Catterick Garrison and think that stopping over on Friday night is probably a good idea. I am on my own and this being my first avent I would appreciate as much info on where people will be stopping and how I get booked on the camp site etc

Hello mate. I can only refer you to this....

Its not that site we used for A2C Josh, this site is a good deal further North. Oswestry is probably the largest town nearby.

A quick Google for camp sites:
http://www.aboutbritain.com/campsites/campsite6048.asp

And this from the site owners:
Local Camping Facilities at Glyn Ceiriog
There are campsite facilities are only 10 min drive away from the RV point in Glyn Ceiriog. They are on the right hand side of the valley road(B4500) from Chirk to Glyn Ceiriog at a small village called Pontfadog. You will see a small sign showing Camping and Caravan Club.
Pitch is £10.00 / night
There are toilet and showering facilities on the site and there is a village pub 10mins walk away from the site.
Address is Stabl-y-Ddol, Pontfadog, Nr Glyn Ceiriog. tel 01691 718846, owner is Mr Huw Edwards.

Well that campsite that Chommers mentioned is difficult to get hold of. I must have tried seven times over the past few days, and can't get a reply. :?

Myself, John Birchett and Stu Chambers are all up for coming over on Friday, so can someone helpful post a post code, grid ref or whatever of the campsite folks will be aiming for. I'm sure it's on here already but I am spectaculally lazy and/or busy and can't be arsed to look for it :)

Josh - are you still planning on bringing vans, BBQs and other such comforts ?
